As a part of our YEEANENO series, we'd like to introduce you to one of Chicago's new wave rappers, Saba. Below you will find a starter pack of info to get you properly acquainted with the emcee:


• government name: Tahj Malik Chandler


• birthday:  July 17th, 1994


• location: Westside of Chicago


• education: Graduated from St. Joseph's high school at the age of 16 with a 3.5 GPA. He also attended Columbia College Chicago but dropped out after his freshman year after they reduced his scholarship.


• notable co-signs: Mick Jenkins, Chance the Rapper, Tree   






seven facts:


#1 - Saba comes from a long line of musicians. His great-grandfather was in a band and his great-grandmother was a music teacher, his grandparents were in a funk band and his uncle is a hip-hop producer. His father Chandlar, is a neo-soul musician and is on the outro of Comfort Zone.


#2 -  Bone Thugs-n-Harmony inspired him to be a rapper.


#3 -  Middle child of three children. His older brotherJoseph Chillia is also a rapper; he and his friends are also members of Pivot Gang.


#4 -  One of his greatest wishes is to see Lil B play Kevin Durant 1 on 1.


#5 - Started playing the piano at the age of 7.


#6 -  Was a part of Open Mikes at Youth Media and Young Chicago Authors.


#7 - In 2012 he dropped his first project, "GETCOMFORTable" & in 2014 dropped his breakthrough tape, "ComfortZone" which features songstress Eryn Allen Kane.
