Minnesota post-punk trio Remo Drive new song "Yer Killin' Me" is blowing up

words by Evan Winter

Last week, Remo Drive premiered a new song and video called "Yer Killin' Me," and now the infectious, dance punk anthem is making waves all over the web, racking up over 60,000 views since the video was released on January 30th. The suburban-Minnesota-born trio (their Facebook page claims Bloomington) delivers an energetic, post-punk brand of emo rock that's both refreshingly bright and tastefully nostalgic.

The video finds the three bandmates running tirelessly, venting their emotions in the streets of a quiet suburb, sing-screaming their frustrations with instruments in hand. The group, formed in late 2013, has a few projects out between their Bandcamp and their Soundcloud, but this latest release has the potential to really put them on the map. And, they've got more on the way – "Yer Killin' Me" is taken from the band's forthcoming album Greatest Hits, coming March 16.

In the meantime, check out their new video below.
